i'm... uh... here?
there will be updates and even pictures as soon as i figure out how to work my new camera!!
quickly- am knitting clapotis (stalled out of boredom), millions of socks (same), hardly spinning, starting the flower basket shawl, becoming addicted to gilmore girls dvds from netflix, amazed at the generosity of my secret pal (she sent me a SWIFT!!!!), getting ready to at least clean up my living room a bit tonight, having annoying medical issues, seeing adam this weekend, and wishing for a vacation.
please don't forget about me. i'm here, i swear.

please tell me tomorrow is sunday again!
i started a new clapotis, that i hope will become a wrap type of thing as i progress. or else, it'll just be another clapotis. i'm making this one out of a dk weight mercerized cotton called, 'concerto', which i purchased at the hybrid health food/yarn store in haliburton over the holiday weekend. i'm knitting it up on size nine needles and for the FIRST time knitting cotton isn't killing my hands.
the weekend was great- i really needed to get away. the week was not AS good, but what could i expect? my grandma is progressing fairly well. she LOOKS better, but her mind is gone and her body is just, i guess, adjusting. she's in her wheelchair now, and convinced that there is some sort of 'hanky panky' (as she put it) going on at the home- they're conspiring against her and the place is bugged and it's kind of upsetting but what are you gonna do, right? right.
adam was here this weekend, it was nice- only going four days apart. our schedules aren't matching up til early august so it is going to be a long stretch of missing each other. but, it was nice. i had a good time, i think he did, too. oddly enough, jezzebelle hides under the bed from the minute he walks in (despite loving him. the times she doesn't hide, she cuddles him til njorah notices and then she hides). as soon as i came back up from saying goodbye? there was jezz. and she's been being all cute on the couch since. so, here is some jezzebelle. i'm going to finish watching this episode of 'the gilmore girls' and head on off to bed. hope you all have a beautiful monday.
