100 things about Me
01. my entire name means something like, "innocent lamb who is like the lord rabbit".
02. i wear almost the same thing every day (black shirt and jeans or green pants).
03. i've been overweight as long as i can remember.
04. i have very bad asthma, almost no immune system, and i'm allergic to ohio.
05. no, really. i am! my health went on a steady decline since i moved here three years ago.
06. i was born in cleveland ohio, i lived in southern califonia for ten years, then the mountains of colorado for 11 years, and the last three back here in ohio.
07. i've been to israel, china, thailand, taiwan, hong kong, france and england.
08. i make THE best chocolate chip cookies ever (i'll send you the recipie if you ask).
09. i tend to knit myself about three scarves and six hats for every winter.
10. i don't smoke, i don't drink and i've never done a single non-prescription drug.
11. i am very messy and moderately disorganized.
12. i think that the grades i receive in a class are directly related to the pen i took the exams with. (a purple pilot pen that lisa sent me and that i can't find on sale anywhere around here)
13. thirteen is my dad's lucky number, he was born on a friday the 13th.
14. my stepmother is 16 years older than i am. her youngest daughter is 21 years younger than i am.
15. i swear by ponds dry skin creme lotion.
16. my hair has been every colour under the sun, my eyebrow was pierced for about two weeks, my nose has been pierced for three years.
17. my boyfriend is a more optimistic, cheerful version of myself.
18. i recognize faces and voices in movies and can place nearly anyone. the imdb is my friend, it confirms my genius.
19. i am fairly well read, thanks to my lit degree- but i'm a sucker for chick lit books (preferably british chick lit).
20. i am a vegetarian.
21. i love tofu. really.
22. my favourite bands are: the ataris, the barenaked ladies, the promise ring, that dog, saves the day, rilo kiley and the planet smashers.
23. i'm getting hungry.
24. i relize that there are probably not 100 interesting things about me and aplogize for this boring list.
25. my favourite colour is red, followed by black, pink and purple.
26. my first pet was a cat named tiger. i got him for my 7th birthday. he passed way six months before his 17th birthday.
27. i am not good with plants or fish. they just die in my home.
28. i once took a ride in a ww2 amphibious vehicle, in boston.
29. i have been on an airplane for 22 hours, in the first class sleeper cabin.
30. i am jewish.
31. i have a huge huge big crush on hugh grant.
32. i have a tivo, and i think it is the best thing since before sliced bread. sliced bread has NOTHING on my tivo.
33. i tend to watch the same ten or fifteen movies on a rotation. i like comfort.
34. when i get married, i want a small wedding with only people that i really love and trust in attendance.
35. and then i'll drag my husband on an alaskan cruise for our honeymoon.
36. this is because i am obsessed wtih someday seeing the northern lights.
37. i take medication for depression.
38. you'll hear a plethora of simpsons and friends quotes from me, if you spend time with me.
39. i love sanrio (chococat and hello kitty especially).
40. i collect anything i can get my hands on in the sanrio genre- morning glory, orange story etc- if it be cute? i be buying.
41. if you smoke near me, i'll probably be a bitch to you and then ask you to leave.
42. i love to write letters, but i'm horrible at mailing them.
43. i pluck every grey hair i see.
44. i would rather have my eyebrows waxed, than deal with plucking them myself.
45. i really really really hate rap music and rap culture. i find it very negative and offensive.
46. i feel naked without my glasses.
47. i love IKEA and if i lived closer to one my entire apartment would be swedish minimalist.
48. some days it is REALLY hard to motivate out of bed.
49. that being said, i have a hard time sleeping when it is daylight. i only nap if i'm sick.
50. i'm going to have some breakfast now, i'm very hungry.
51. i am eating kashi 'heart to heart' cereal.
52. i LOVE office supplies. post it notes and sharpies really get my blood racing.
53. i am also addicted to purses/bags/etc. i never use the ones i buy, but i love them all the same.
54. i think the smartest thing hollywood ever did was start putting entire seasons of hit tv shows on dvd.
55. i may actually be in love with my computer.
56. two of my friends are pregnant. they were also the first to get married.
57. someday i think i'd like to have kids. i'd also like to be married first.
58. i doodle a lot. entire pages of notes are marred by swirlies.
59. i love harry potter.
60. my kitten just drank all of the leftover milk from my cereal.
61. i've wanted to move to canada since i was about 10 years old.
62. in the wintertime, i'm known to wear my hat all day long. it hides messy/dirty hair.
63. i almost never put my laundry away, i just pick out of the dryer for a week until i've worn everything.
64. i love popcorn.
65. the best popcorn i've ever had is tied between the store 'popcorn, indiana' and an odeon movie theatre in london.
66. i am really really really afraid of bees, hornets, yellow jackets and anything else that can sting, bite or hurt me in the creepy crawly world.
67. i'm allergic to dogs. my mom has four dogs. and she smokes. i get sick when i visit her house.
68. that doesn't stop me from visiting.
69. i'm pretty tired of living alone.
70. that being said, i've only had nightmare roommates and i'm afraid of ever having one again.
71. i fear my 5 year old sister will grow up to be a sociopathic exotic dancer.
72. i love matisse, van gogh, picasso, and maxfield parrish.
73. i respect most modern art. but i hate hate hate hate rothko.
74. i think i missed my calling. if i was starting over i would study political science, library science, or art history.
75. i do not plan to go to graduate school anytime soon.
76. someday i want to own a yarn shop.
77. i am a packrat.
78. packing to move will be sucky and a half.
79. as excited as i am to be moving, i'm scared to death of it.
80. i love showers. i think showers are the best thing ever.
81. i sing most of the time. no matter where i am.
82. i listen to harry potter books on cd when i'm driving long distances.
83. i hate james joyce. reading his works make rachel go insane.
84. i have just realized how lame and boring i really am.
84. i like pixar movies. they make me feel good about the world.
85. i have two and a half computers.
86. my nervous habits include picking at my heels and peeling my nailpolish.
87. the kitten just fell off the couch. now she's asleep.
88. i still sleep with a teddy bear. it was a gift from my mom and represents a lot of things to me.
89. the world pretty much is right on the heels of any trend i like, and then i feel like a copycat.
90. rilo kiley (my favourite band) once made me a get well card (delivered via the boyfriend).
91. i like candles but i never burn them.
92. i have a small fear of fire.
93. i actually have a lot of 'small' fears.
94. i've taken steroids many many times in my life.
95. i live on the second floor.
96. i think that pluots are fantastic. i wish they were a natural fruit instead of a hybrid created by scientists.
97. chocolate is your friend. it is my friend too.
98. i recently realized that i'm not fat, i'm smart. all my knowledge is stored in my body, and there is LOT of knowledge, so there is a lot of body.
99. i will kick almost anyone's arse in trivial pursuit. i'll also bore everyone with the reasons i know the answers.
