school started today, and with it comes the end of my undergraduate career (or at least, the last semester of my undergraduate career). my apartment is 29% orderly, and i spent my evening right here on the couch with lotech on the needles (for the first time in nearly two weeks) and sex and the city (season 3, disc 2) on the tele.

i'm about 13" into the back of lotech, so i should be doing the back shaping sometime tomorrow.
my kitty is so happy to see me. my first morning home, she jumped on the bed in mid-purr and proceeded to NOT let me go back to sleep. she is, however, not as pleased as i am to be welcoming a new kitten into our home this weekend. i hope she adjusts quickly.

she sure doesn't look like she cares to adjust
adam is coming in this weekend for kitty adopting. we had such a fantastic time in london. it was really really awesome, to use a juniorhigh word.

it even left me breathless, so to speak. i came down with a cold, which went into my asthmatic lungs and now, a week later, i'm in bad bad bad shape. the doctor can't see me until the 15th, so in the meantime i am using a nebulizer along with normal inhalers, and i have a temporary handicap parking permit for school, to get me through until things are under control. i'm basically useless post attack, and walking from parking lot to classroom causes attack, rendering me useless. see? sucks. but hey, at least i'll avoid being late to class because i can't find a place to park AND i can store my sweater in my car for knitting between classes. see? i can think positively. and now it's bedtime. me and my lungs are getting in bed.

in the last week or two i have: knit a pair of socks for adam (who says that all his storebought cotton socks have shredded and died thanks to a month and a half of backpacking around europe (not to mention they stay wet when they get wet) whereas the wools socks i've knit for him are in near perfect condition, dry quickly when wet and make him happy- could i make him more, please), played with my sisters, cut a large portion of my hair off, talked a lot with my stepmom, developed an infected lymph node (and had it treated), caught the flu, shopped with other people's money, and began my first sweater. in a nutshell. here are photos:

adam's socks, to be hand delivered to him in london on thursday night (!!!!!!!!!!!) these stylish socks are being show by my teddy bear, mickey. he's a little short for the socks, but he insisted on making an appearance on the site.

lotech sweat (pattern gifted to me by my dear lisa). being knit in wool-ease's cranberry colour. it's only six inches of the backside, but that is six inches more sweater than i've ever knit before.
so there you have it. a quick glimpse into my little life. like i said, i'm off to london on thursday- i leave at 8am and arrive at 8pm, and i only have two nights to get through before i see adam again. it's been way too long and i'd like it if he never went to europe for two months again. after my trip, i'll be flying back to new york and then driving back to ohio to begin my last semester ever of university (i hope). and that's about that. i won't be knitting much on my trip- just seeing sights and being with the boy. lotech will be waiting for me to get home, though. xoxo.
